From Daughter of Immigrants to Community Builder: Why I Founded Fundación CABA
I grew up watching my family do what so many immigrant families do every day: work hard, sacrifice quietly, and figure things out without always knowing where to turn.
As the daughter of immigrants, I learned early that information can change a family's future. Knowing how to enroll a child in school, understand healthcare, find community resources, or simply ask the right questions can make all the difference. Yet too often, those resources are difficult to find, available only in English, or disconnected from the cultural realities many families face.
Those experiences shaped who I became.
Today, I am a bilingual educator, psychology student, mother, and community advocate. Every role has shown me another side of the same story: families don't lack strength. They often lack access.
That's why I created Fundación CABA: Puentes de Esperanza.
Our name means Bridges of Hope because I believe every family deserves a bridge to opportunity, not another barrier to overcome.
Fundación CABA exists to help immigrant and multilingual families navigate education, healthcare, mental wellness, financial literacy, community resources, and the systems that shape everyday life. We believe support should be accessible, culturally responsive, and offered with dignity.
This organization is deeply personal to me.
I know what it feels like to translate documents for family members, explain school procedures, search endlessly for reliable information, and wish someone had simply pointed the way.
My goal is to become that bridge for someone else.
This is only the beginning. I envision Fundación CABA growing into a trusted community where families can find practical resources, build meaningful relationships, and discover that they are not navigating their journey alone.
